Maintenance Tips

Remove spent fronds at the base of the stem. When pruning, watch out for the thorns at the base of each frond.

Fertilize lightly when new growth emerges in the wintertime.

Do not spray with leaf shine or other cleaning products;  such products will remove the plant’s natural “fuzzy appearance”.

Pests and Problems

Mealy bug and scale. Watch for mites if plant is in low humidity.
