Grape Ivy

Grape Ivy, Kangaroo Vine
Rhombifolia
Light Level: Low
Water Level: High
Cissus is the Greek word for “ivy.” Most grape ivies grow as vines with three leaflets.
Country of Origin
Plants are native worldwide, including: Africa, Australia, southern United States, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, West Indies, Arabia and Southeast Asia.
Maintenance Tips
Elevated soluble salts cause leaf tip burn, with wilting and loss of the older foliage, often caused by over-fertilizing. These plants tend to grow best with relatively little fertilizer, regular watering, and medium that is not overly absorbent. Good air circulation is important.
Avoid letting plants get too dry, as yellowing and abscission will result.
Pests and Problems
Aphids, spider mites. Gray mold, fungal diseases, powdery mildew.
Plants fade and die back in high temperatures.
